being a sheep can be quite nice.

First TV show I had self-insertion fantasies about:

Oooh, man - probably The Mysterious Cities of Gold. I was obsessed with that cartoon and I really wanted to fly that condor.

First fandom in which I interacted (online and in person) with other fans:

Highlander. Feedback to a particular writer got me to a mailing list, and then to a forum where I spent many happy hours. Or was it the other way around? I actually can't remember now, how terrible.

Pairing in the first slash fanfiction I read:

Methos/Duncan. I didn't even know slash existed until I found the Seventh Dimension HL archive and started reading my way though it, then I clicked on a fic with the mysterious category of "slash", and *bam*. It was a revelation - that other people thought about that too, and then wrote it down... I was in heaven.

First RPS/RPF I read:

I think it was a JF/DH one from SGA days. It was mainly because it had been recced somewhere I think - I decided it wasn't really for me because I found reading it to be vaguely embarrassing. Which makes my ability to read J2 and Kris Allen/Adam Lambert these days without even a pause slightly odd, though I think it is related to not actually watching or being aware of the canon or real life media in either case - honestly, they might as well be fictional characters as far as I'm concerned.

First fanfiction I read that made me think, YES, this is exactly the kind of fanfiction I'd like to write...

Uh. I've been awed by lots of amazing fic over the years, but I don't remember having that particular thought. I'd certainly like to have as prolific ideas as some of the writers out there.

Pairing in the first fanfiction I wrote:

...oh geez. I was going to say RayK/Fraser as that was the first I posted, but I've just remembered some really, really bad and incredibly derivative scribbles I did (on actual paper, no less) before I had the nerve to put it out there online, and I'm fairly sure they were Duncan/Methos.

First OTP:

RayK/Benton Fraser. Duncan/Methos isn't an OTP for me, oddly. I'm quite happy to read other pairings for both of them.

First RPS/F OTP:

Don't have one.

First fannish friend I met in person.

A very nice person from the HL forum I was on who happened to be in the country. We met up and ate good food.

First character I formally roleplayed:

Never role-played, probably never will.
