Help! I need somebody...

...to be inspired by.

I have an internal interview on Monday and apparently one of the interviewers likes to ask who you are inspired by. And while I am perfectly happy to tell friends that I'm inspired by (among others) Buffy, Eowyn, Steve Rogers and Natasha Romanova, I suspect they are looking for someone a little less fictional!

Any suggestions, oh mighty flist? Who would you answer if faced with that question?

Thanks for the suggestions, but in the end they didn't even ask me that question! So all my brain-cudgeling was in vain.

Perhaps Steve Jobs?

Ooh, interesting. Though wasn't he meant to be kind of a git to work for? Anyway, they ended up not asking me so I will store the suggestion for next time.

LOL, I don't know what he was like to work for, but as a visionary and a successful business man.

I'd say avoid female politicians but you could try athletes? Or a novelist like Doris Lessing or Margaret Atwood or someone? (Perhaps not JK Rowling, but that depends on who you're interviewing for, maybe - she gives a LOT to charity, and it's a very good rags-riches story, after all)

I hate this kind of question, good luck with it!

I hate that kind of question too, but in the end they didn't ask me, hoorah! Novelists were a good idea though - I will remember that for next time.
