I just saw Serenity. It fucking rocks. And contained two moments that made me want to have Mal's babies:

1) When the Operative says he's unarmed and Mal just shoots him without even pausing. George Lucas take note - that's how a rogue deals with threats from assassins.

2) When he gets the Reaver ships to follow them and fight the Alliance. Major cool.

Also one moment that made me cry. I guess Joss Whedon's never been afraid of character death, but ouch that hurt.

I agree wholeheartedly re your points. :) #1 vaguely reminded me of the similar scene in one of the Indiana Jones movies. #2 - the enemy of your enemy will kick your other enemy's ass allowing you to sneak through the battleline *g*

*covers eyes* *doesn't read spoilers*

I want to see this movie so much! My local cinema only has two screens and is showing Pride and Prejudice on both so it means a trip to Newcastle, which means planning... but I really want to see it!

Hey! I volunteered to have his babies first! ;-) It is a bit Indiana Jones I suppose - I just immediately thought of the cantina bar scene in Star Wars that GL foolishly went and altered in the remastering. Idiot.

The bit with the Reavers' ships appearing from the cloud was just ace.

Ooh, well done - I generally can't resist the spoilers. You should totally go and see it now. I just went and bought the Firefly series on DVD because I want to know more about these people, that's how good it is.

PS. I am also in the middle of writing that SGA thing again from Sheppard's POV. He wouldn't shut up. It's driving me insane.

I am also in the middle of writing that SGA thing again from Sheppard's POV -- huh, cool :)

As well as the other one or instead? *hopes for as well* because, like, two fics for the price of one..!

As well as. If it goes well, it'll end up being a companion thing with Ronon's first because I want to keep the not knowing what's going on until Ronon remembers aspect and Sheppard's POV is being a lot more linear.

It's currently about half done so I'll see how it goes. (Funnily enough, it's the pron that's mostly the done parts. I wonder why? *whistles inoocently*)

btw, have you picked up Teamwork (http://www.livejournal.com/users/magus_minor/4439.html)? It's a brilliant, funny McShep AU that made me stupidly happy by reffing Pratchett at one point. Go, read and giggle.

Ooooh, no I haven't read that yet *bookmarks*. I'm so stupidly in love with Atlantis AUs at the moment, just can't get enough of them.

Can't read it now, must do work (if I repeat that enough one of us might believe it *g*)
