Anyone else have a look at this last night?
I thought it was pretty good fun. On this first viewing, I'd say the writing isn't up to Doctor Who and because it was the first one, it's hard to tell much about the characters so far but it's obviously more of an ensemble piece like Torchwood (though I imagine with a lot less sex) - with more characters even, so it'll be interesting to see who stays and who gets developed. Okay CGI too, considering they were doing large dinosaurs, though they did convince more when it was night and they couldn't be seen as clearly...
I like the main guy in it, Douglas Henshall. Another Scottish actor (yay!) playing the lead in prime time scifi... we celts just get everywhere these days. I've seen him in other stuff and he's very good. And Ben Miller as the government hatchet man was cool too. The rest didn't make that much of an impression so far, though the second scientist man (character called Stephen) was very pretty.
The mystery that they're setting up is fairly intriguing as well. I hope it stays that way. I think I'll be keeping watching, for a little while at least.
