It's sheer stupidity, me thinks. Everyone with two braincells knows that merlin and Doctor Who share a good part of the fan base, so taking a very well known fic from one fandom and plagiarising it to present it in the other is just asking for trouble, me thinks.
As for why...no ego and even less values? It's one of those things where I'm not sure I even want to understand the reasoning behind it, since that would mean I'd be able to follow that twisted logic >.< No thanks!^^
Glad that got sorted. 'And None But We Can Be Such King's' is actually my all time favourite Merlin fic, so when you were spitting mad I think I was jumping right behind you! *lol*
I do understand that one might feel inferior talent wise when reading really good fic and one self can't write that good. But that's something you solve with practice, not plagiarism. Plagiarism doesn't change the fact that you can't write yourself, after all. That's why I don't get it, at all. oO
