Opinions wanted: if you were going to read a long, loooong fic, would you rather read it in my current standard lj text like

Bookworm - Anon, 10th century

A worm ate words. I thought that wonderfully
Strange - a miracle - when they told me a crawling
Insect had swallowed noble songs,
A night-time thief had stolen writing
So famous, so weighty. But the bug was foolish
Still, though its belly was full of thought.

Or in something more like

Sir Thomas Maitland's Satyr upon Sir Neil Laing - Sir Thomas Maitland

Canker'd, cursed creature, crabbed corbit kittle,
Buntin-ars'd, beugle-backed, bodied like a beetle;
Sarie shitten, shell-paddock, ill shapen shit,
Kid-bearded gennet, all alike great:
Fiddle-douped, flindrikin, fart of a man,
Wa worth the, wanwordie, wanshapen wran!

I think I go for the second, but then, I think it's Georgia and that's what my lj is set to. Love the bookworm.

Actually, it's Palatino Linotype, which is what I wrote my thesis in. Times New Roman is just a little cramped sometimes, you know? I'm leaning towards the second myself, but I figured it was worth canvassing opinions here.

Oh, and particularly if this is the long long fic that I'm thinking of. It has "feel"

I just posted a minute before you did, bizarre. It is the long fic you're thinking of.

You know we were talking about being indecisive? I just changed the font for my whole lj three times... I'm sticking with a mix of Verdana and Palatino Linotype just now though! (Though in an opposite manner to my thesis where I had headings in Verdana and the text in PL and I've switched them here, and I'll shut up now.)

Hmm, I've just switched the texxt of my lj to Verdana instead of Arial. Do you still think the second option is better?

I think Verdana is better than Arial. But I still think the 2nd option is better.

I like Times New Roman - a lot. But I think maybe you should go for the second one just to space things out a little more. But, then, I'd read this fic even in Comic Sans!

I'm thinking I might just change my lj over to the second altogether actually. The headings already are and I'm a little bored with Arial - it's too narrow at this size and I don't like how it looks bigger.

I... don't know, actually. I don't think I'd have a problem reading either, neither are overly bunched up. Maybe everso slightly still the second?
