fannish5: What are your five favourite canonical romances?
1. Miles Vorkosigan and Ekaterin Vorsoisson from Lois McMaster Bujold's Vorkosigan Saga
2. Anne Elliot and Captain Wentworth from Persuasion
3. Benedick and Beatrice from Much Ado About Nothing
4. Jane Eyre and Edward Rochester from Jane Eyre
5. Peter Wimsey and Harriet Vane from Dorothy L. Sayers' Wimsey series
Hmm, all literary. Most likely since my film/tv favourite couples are generally completely non-canonical slash... ooh, wait. I liked Connor MacLeod/Heather in the first HL film, and Christian/Satine in Moulin Rouge, and Willow/Tara in BtVS... so apparently I only like non-literary canon romances if they end in tragedy!
