Comment if you want to do this and I'll give you a letter. Then you go and list ten things you like starting with that letter.

torakowalski, who gave me an "A".
1. Apple sponge with milk. Total comfort pudding, and I believe the milk (rather than custard or something) may be a Scottish thing - at least, the only other person I know who also does it that way is also Scottish.
2. Anne-with-an-E. Because Anne of Green Gables is a great character and it is my middle name (and also Buffy's middle name, so there you go).
3. Armadillos as in the Just-So Story of "The Beginning of the Armadillos" as that has always been my favourite one, with Painted Jaguar and Stickly-Prickly Hedgehog and Slow-Solid Tortoise. Read it here if you don't know it.
4. Aral Vorkosigan from the Vorkosigan Saga books by Lois McMaster Bujold. A fantastic and facinating character.
5. Aragorn. Especially as played by Viggo Mortensen. I liked the character in the books, I fell in love with him in the film after about 30 seconds.
6. Auden, W. H. Writer of some very good poems.
7. Anthony Stewart Head - obviously particularly in his incarnation as Giles in BtVS, but I've not seen him be bad in anything. Except possibly the Gold Blend adverts, but even they are cheesily nostalgic these days.
8. Athena. Not the goddess, the chain of shops that vanished sometime in the Nineties. They used to have all those 3-D pictures that only appear when you squint at the random pattern for ages and suddenly there would be a T-rex, or penguins. Happy days of teenage aimless wandering *sigh*
9. Alabama 3. A great band with a great name, because there aren't 3 of them and they definitely aren't from Alabama - in fact they are from Brixton. They say they make "Sweet Muthafuckin Country Acid House Music all night long", I'd add in a bit of blues and gospel as well. They did the theme for The Sopranos too.
10. Alchemist, The Chocolate (so I'm cheating, 10 things is a lot). Makers of handmade organic chocolates and the most amazing dark chocolate hot chocolate mix I have ever tasted in my life. It's like expresso only in chocolate and very nearly qualifies as a meal.
