Staples has a reading speed test you can take:

According to this, I read 1036 words a minute and that makes me 314% faster at reading than the national average (for the US I take it since it seems to be the US site).

Now, I'll give them that I do read very fast. But I simply can't believe that I read 314% faster than average. The way they calculate it has got to be off.

I'd have to agree. Apparently I only read about the same as the average 11th grader. Umm, no. So many reasons that's so wrong :)
